Memorandum from the Treasury, England and Wales, to William Blathwayt [manuscript], 1688 July 16.

He is asked to give his opinion on the contents of Culpeper's petition to the king (here cited) in which he requests that the tract of land in Virginia between the rivers Rappahannock and Potomac (Batomack) and Chesapeake Bay, granted by the king to the Earl of St. Albans and others, May 8, 1669, and since assigned to himself, be confirmed to him and the proviso requiring the settlement of the tract within 21 years be waived.
